  I can't find any bibles...seems to be a shortage...

  howdy,.

  i have been trying to get 4 bibles for some folks i know who use to be jw's...not sure if they are returning but i'll do my part...can anyone shed some light or let me know where i can call to get bibles....patterson says there is a shortage, i've asked around to different halls in different states.. could it be because of jw.org ?.

  I also asked a friend in the one of the Caribbean islands, and he check two K/H and they had no Bible's in stock...I asked him earlier this year (May)...

  Off to tell the family...

  the day i've been waiting for is here.

  i'm flying home to see family and some old friends, most of whom are jw.

  since learning ttatt a few months back, i came to the decision i would have to tell my parents that we are no longer active and don't have any plans to return.

  - Attended a carnival session whilst in the Caribbean...it was lots of fun....these folks have a lot of energy. Lots of music, parades, dancing (dirty dancing) from a couple folks, but generally speaking, just folks wanting to have fun.

  - Making plans to pursue my MBA commencing next year.

  - Prior to being awaken, I left in the middle of a DC (lunch break) to attend a party that my friend hosted. Just some clean fun, nice music and good food. No intoxication or anything that the cult usually hints at.

  i spent the first 17 years of my life in a jw home, then the real world caught up to me.

  Grammy's memorial service...

  well, i guess i can't be shocked but it's been a while since i've been to a jw service.

  i honestly felt like i was sitting through an amway sales pitch with my grandmother's name inserted every once in a while.

  it's not personal at all.

  Spiritual Weakness Detected

  as a result of attending my grandma's funeral, i saw some of the "old friends" from my home congregation where i grew up.

  i saw only one jw at the funeral, but others sent email/text as to why they couldn't attend (spiritual activities).

  this sister who attended, is considered spiritually weak (her comments are read directly from the watchtower, puts in a couple hours a month, has an unbeleiving mate but both are happy, never pioneers, doesn't show up for fs because the co is in town ect...), but she made the effort to come by and be with my family during our time of mourning.. with the brief encounter i had with some of the other jw's, they were all wondering if i'd come back to the khall to help and 'build' up the congregation.

  With the brief encounter I had with some of the other JW's, they were all wondering if I'd come back to the Khall to help and 'build' up the congregation. They said they were so happy to see me visit and want me to serve as an MS again.

  Each time they communicate with me, they're always asking if I still love my job, why did you choose a job that entails travelling ect...the whole guilt trip I guess? Their is one family that stands out as being unduly critical of me...they only email me to find out if I go to CA/DA...she sent me a message yesturday stating how her 3 day convention was the best ever and how did I enjoy mine...I told them that I had a death in the family and haven't heard back from them since....this family has their radar up to try and call me out...since I chose a job that requires me to be away, they've minimized communication with me, except to find out about CA/DA and the name of my CO ect...

  I really don't give a care in the world...it just shows how hypocritical some of the JW's are and just want to look good in the eyes of the elders and the borg.

  Sorry for venting.

  I really need some help to get out of this religion

  hi, i've been lurking on this site for quite a while after recently having doubts about the "truth".

  i've read a lot of posts about problems with the doctrines, mind control, the beliefs, brainwashing that jehovah's witnesses and their literature, as well as their history.

  now only being a sixteen year old born in who isn't baptized or unbaptized, i've come to find all this information incredibly overwhelming.

  i have to practice and get better at parallel parking or i am never going to get my license.

  i can get the car in the space but i just can't seem to get it out of there without crossing the lines where your not suppose to go.

  when you cross the lines it means if there was a car there you would have bumped it.
